This real-deal 1969 Pontiac GTO has been through a comprehensive two-stage restoration.  The first portion was completed in 2021 and included all sheet metal work, a new floor pan, paint, interior, brakes, steering, and suspension.  The second stage ran from 2024-2025 and covered a rebuilt 400ci engine, rebuilt 4-speed transmission, new exhaust, Vintage Air, gauges, functionality, wheels, tires, and overall fit and finish.  The resulting car looks fantastic, sounds amazing, and drives like new.

Originally built at the Arlington TX plant, this 242-code GTO was a factory Liberty Blue car but has been redone in black for a more menacing appearance.  This one also looks fantastic underneath; be sure to see the pictures!  The dark body color is nicely accented by the GTO lettering on the fenders, grille, and tail panel.  The twin scoop hood includes a tachometer which is a must-have on any 4-speed GTO.  The rear bumper was blacked out to match the Endura front bumper which is free of any cracks.  Note too the rear spoiler and attractive exhaust tips.  The 17” American Racing wheels are the perfect touch on this car and wear brand new tires all around.

The engine is a rebuilt 400ci with fewer than 100 miles since completion.  It is a nice performing street build topped by an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke.  There is also a full dual exhaust with long tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers which give the perfect muscle car sound.  Behind the engine sits a rebuilt Muncie M20 4-speed followed by a 12-bolt rear end with 3.31 gears.  This Goat also features power steering and power front disc brakes.  The suspension uses BMR lowering springs and has an F41 rear setup with boxed trailing arms and a sway bar.  There are many new parts throughout.

The black vinyl interior has also been redone with new seats, door panels, carpet, headliner, dash, and more.  There is a center console which houses the 4-speed shifter and a center storage compartment.  The dash is strictly business and all new with the essential gauges in the left pod, a speedometer in the middle, and a clock on the right.  Of course, the hood tach is present as well.  Everything works as it should including the wipers, horn, lights, turn signals, and parking brake.  There is a modern Bluetooth twin shaft radio along with a complete Vintage Air Sure-Fit system that incorporates heat, defrost, and air conditioning into a single system.

This GTO is more than just good looks.  It has seen a tremendous amount of work that is apparent throughout the car.  It also provides a proper muscle car experience that you would expect from a GTO.  Whether you want to run through the gears and hear the car roar or just cruise down the street with the a/c keeping you cool, this one really delivers.
