This 2006 Corvette Z06 is about as nice as they come.  This remarkable example is a one-owner car with only 1,500 miles since new!  It is as clean as you’ll find with a spotless history as well.  These are great attributes for any used vehicle but are especially valuable for a performance Corvette.  In addition, this represents the best C6 you could buy in 2006 and is equipped with the top-of-the-line 2LZ package.  It didn’t get any better.

As you might expect, this car is exceptionally clean throughout.  It has a fantastic look with its factory Victory Red paint, wide body shape, and other Z06 enhancements.  But it is a lot more than good looks, offering a level of power and performance beyond that of any previous Corvette.  You may be well aware of its amazing capabilities, but they’re still fun to talk about.  0-60 in 3.7 seconds, the quarter mile in 11 seconds, and a top speed of 198 mph.  The brakes will stop from 60 mph in only 111 feet.  All this and it can still deliver 26 mpg on the highway with the air conditioning running.

Any discussion of this Corvette must include its aluminum 427 cubic inch (7.0L) 505 hp LS7 engine.  It’s surprising street manners mask the race-bred technology underneath such as a dry sump oiling system, titanium connecting rods, sodium filled exhaust valves, and CNC ported cylinder heads.  The big motor is linked to a robust Tremec 6-speed manual transmission and limited slip differential with a 3.42 gear ratio.  Note the tires were replaced in 2024 due to age, but the original tires are included.

Handling is also outstanding; with a performance suspension and wide tires (275 front, 325 rear) it is capable of more than 1g of lateral acceleration.  The Corvette’s traction control is useful for everyday driving but also includes a very effective Competition Mode.  Brakes use large 14” rotors in front and 13.4” in back which give outstanding stopping power.  The factory exhaust includes valves in the mufflers that can effectively turn the system into a 3-inch straight pipe. 

In addition to all the standard Z06 goodies (Head-Up Display, FE4 suspension, etc.) this car is equipped with the desirable 2LZ package.  This was the best you could get in 2006 with features like seat mounted air bags, telescoping steering wheel, auto dimming mirrors, heated seats, rear privacy shade, memory package, and universal remote transmitter.  The instrument surround, center trim piece, shifter, and parking brake handle were replaced with red pieces by the selling dealer before delivery along with aftermarket floor mats.  However, all original parts are included if you would like to return it to stock.  All manuals are included along with the window sticker and service receipts.

This Z06 had an MSRP of $70,375 almost twenty years ago.  It remains a spectacular car and retains a classic Corvette look.  The wider proportions and front air intake really enhance the appearance, and the factory polished aluminum wheels are a great accent too.  Performance was world-class when introduced for the 2006 model year.  It’s obviously a desirable car, but having only one owner and so few miles makes it that much more special.
