This is not your average GT500.  Finished in factory Torch Red with white stripes, this Shelby offers everything you’d want from such a car; low mileage (14k), limited ownership, a spotless history, and a nice blend of performance upgrades.  It includes the original window sticker, a folder of receipts, and many additional parts.

This 2-owner car was purchased new in Wisconsin and has seen an average of just 750 miles per year.  The exterior appears original with the exception of the Borla exhaust tips and 2013 GT500 style 20” wheels.  Note the original 18” machined aluminum wheels and Goodyear tires are included.  As a GT500 it also has the special aluminum hood with air extractors which distinguishes the car from other Mustangs.  Additional factory equipment includes the fog lights, rear spoiler, and body kit.

The supercharged 5.4L engine was factory rated at 500hp and mated to a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission followed by a 3.55 limited slip rear end.  Other standard features include an SVT tuned suspension and Brembo front brakes with 14” vented discs.  ABS and traction control are also present (which can be good things on a car like this one).  That’s all great stuff, but this one has been taken a few steps further with the following upgrades:

- removed catalytic converters

All original parts are included with the exceptions of the catalytic converters and rear brakes.  Note these upgrades are not a bunch of flashy power adders, but rather a blended mix of items to provide better overall performance and reliability. 

Looking inside you will find special sport bucket seats with the Cobra logo and light toned gauges including a boost gauge.  This particular car also was also equipped with the optional Shaker 1000 audio system and its dual subwoofers.  It also has updated Shelby floor mats along with the originals.  Everything works properly and there are no warning lights present.  Both keyfobs are present and the factory inflator kit remains in the trunk.

The Shelby GT500 represents one of the best Ford Mustang variants.  It offers tremendous performance and can outrun almost anything it meets, yet remains comfortable and easy to drive.  This example is in excellent condition with desirable colors, low miles, and outstanding performance.  If you’re in the market for a modern Shelby this one should definitely be on your list.
