This is one of the nicest SN95 Saleen Mustangs you will find.  This 2000 S-281 S/C is in excellent condition throughout and shows just 15,800 with a spotless history.  It thoroughly demonstrates everything that makes the Saleen cars so desirable, with bold looks and supercharged performance that far exceed what Ford produced.

This example is one of the last Saleens built for the 2000 model year, showing serial number 954 of 979 produced.  It has been very well cared for by its three owners.  The beautiful factory silver paint is nicely offset by the Saleen graphics and body pieces which really make the car stand out from ordinary Mustangs.  There are also the Saleen 18” wheels with Toyo Proxes T1 Sport tires (265/35 front, 295/35 rear).  The Saleen window sticker shows an MSRP of $43,537 in 2000 which translates to more than $80,000 in today’s money.

But of course Saleen is more than just a pretty face.  The S/C model features Saleen’s supercharger setup atop the upgraded 4.6L engine which was rated at 350 hp and a stout 410 ft-lbs of torque.  It runs perfectly and sounds fantastic through Saleen’s Bassani exhaust.  The 5-speed manual transmission is operated through Saleen’s short-throw shifter.  In back is an 8.8” rear end with a limited slip differential and 3.27 gears.  The car also has Saleen upgraded suspension and brake components for excellent overall performance.

The leather interior is in amazing condition; you would never imagine this is a 26-year-old car!  Noticeable Saleen features include the white-faced instruments along with the boost / intercooler gauge pod.  There are also Saleen pedals and floor mats along with a serialized plaque.  This Mustang was factory equipped with a deluxe sound system with both cassette and CD features.  The a/c blows cold, the cruise control works – everything you’d expect from such a quality car.

This wasn’t some teenager’s Mustang that was ridden hard and put away wet.  Rather, this is an exceptional Saleen that was adult owned and properly cared for.  The combination of looks, condition, features, and performance make this Saleen one of the best on the market.
